Silver Stories – Communicating Across the Generations
This wonderful idea has been created by David and his wife Elisabeth Carney-Haworth OBE. The dedicated duo created Silver Stories in 2015 when they realised how detached and lonely the elderly people felt in their community and how separated some of them felt from the younger generation. This excellent idea bridges the gap! Primary school children read over the phone to elderly people who are on their own. In these times of isolation having this connection and hearing a cheerful voice can literally mean the world. Skim were honoured to be asked to produce this website and be a part of such a brilliant idea.
