What I did this summer - part 1 - @skimnewmedia

Here is my attempt at succinctly encapsulate the work we’ve been that’s dropped in so far this summer, just as we receive an impressive deluge of rain… typical Cornwall – no spirits dampened here at SKIM HQ, it’s joy and sunshine every day.. 🙂 (she said after necking another large mug of freshly ground death-strength coffee…).

June 2025 brought the excitement of Mi:8 – not just the latest Tom Cruise action movie exciting us – music composer Alfie Godfrey contacted us as he’s co-written the soundtrack for the latest Mission Impossible release – so tough job ensued (not!) – having to to watch load of trailers and listen to Alfie’s score – all for research purposes – to align ourselves with our client’s needs and desires for the website design and production..!! Alfie Godfrey »

It’s taken time to coax talented abstract artist Rachel Budd from analogue to digital. Viewing their work online, in a different medium is unsatisfactory. A website is an introduction and ‘representation’ of the real thing – it’s intension to give a snapshot for the artists work, stir interest and provoke a positive response from a wider audience. Less is more : Rachel Budd»

A now from something completely different !! – ADHD Specialists – a highly relevant topic of discussion that provokes various theories and responses from all directions. Being introduced/recommend to Stephen Taylor by Christian Banfield (Schmick.tv) a certain weight of responsibility fell up Skim shoulders to create a dynamic, engaging website that was also straightforward, easy to navigate, without too many distractions.. “Oh look at the lovely buzzard swooping past the office window… :)”

Team Gekko is my final choice of website design and production part 1 of: ‘What I did this summer’ – this company is based on the edge of the glorious New Forest – they love fun things – cars, boats, clothing to such a great extent that they illuminate these items to great effect – probably more effective to just show you the TeamGekko website »
