We’ve been fortunate to work on a fair few music composers websites, – definitely a more male dominated world! Women working as composers in independent film = 17% – Men = 83% – it’s a tough industry to crack – unless you’re called Hans Zimmer ! I think the industry researchers are partly to blame – lazy, or are the ladies just not receiving the exposure? Hopefully the shift of balance will equal out in the near future..
