We were asked to whip up a website for a local based charity this developed into so much more! As soon as Skim met with Carole Edwards and her enthusiastic Cass + team we knew we wanted to work with them. The charity has been developing and expanding its range for over a decade now and our task was to raise their profile and spread the news about the invaluable work CASS+ are achieving in Cornwall and Devon magistrates’ Courts.
Strong visual imagery was definitely required so we secured access to the Truro courts to take some photos of the team, volunteers and previous clients – all involved we amazingly cooperative – we were only given a few short hours inside so it was a challenge!
The website was designed to give a professional edge whilst retaining the ‘real’ feel that the honest photos brought to it. It has been well received and CASS+ are delighted with the work.
CASS+ were awarded a grant which was to be used to improve their business systems and promote awareness of their work. Part of this was allocated to produce a short film and CASS+ invited us to create this for them.
Skim were restricted to certain areas of Plymouth Magistrates Courts in October 2018 where we had the day filming interviews on location, with a cross section of team members, trustees, volunteers, associate companies and clients. A long day for all involved – but our speakers all performed amazingly and conveyed their important messages extremely well.
CASS+ are our second client to receive the honour of a Queens Award! CASS+ were honoured with a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2017 which was hugely well deserved and they enjoyed a sunny day at a Buckingham Palace Garden party.
