A few years ago now a lovely client of ours asked Skim to head over to Annestown, Co. Waterford to take photographs of his holiday apartments – great job and what a stunning location. The main Annestown house was built in the 1800s, however had become extremely run down – but the potential was huge. Vince realised that this historic house has great appeal as a location venue – an inspired idea. The interior rooms all have their own look and feel, the view out to the Atlantic coast and space, vast space is cathartic. A Irish band ‘Amble’ have recently filmed a track off their lastest e.p. there and taken a great range of press shots and cover image for ‘Hand Me Downs’. (Personally, I had never heard of Amble, then serendipituously heard Jo Whiley play a track from them on Radio 2 the other night.. !)
We are trying to find an excuse to head back over there.. in the mean time you can stay in one of the 4 holiday apartments (check the views!)
